Rock Garden Gnomes – Legends of the Lawn is a series of hand-sculpted figures that combine the visual language of traditional garden gnomes with the iconography of rock music and folklore.

Each character is a caricatured interpretation, drawing on myth, attitude and recognisable cultural references rather than direct likeness.

Each gnome begins as a hand-modelled clay sculpture, developed as an original character rather than a replica. From this original, moulds are made and small batches are cast in resin. Every piece is individually cleaned, finished and hand-painted, meaning no two are exactly alike.

While playful in spirit, the series is rooted in traditional sculptural process and material presence. The figures are intended as objects to live with — indoors or outdoors — occupying the space between ornament, character study and small-scale sculpture.
